La Fortuna di Essere Liberi - The Luck to Be Free

Few times we realize how lucky we are to live in a free country in which we can vote and express our opinion. In China, for example, it could be dangerous to talk about politics in a public place, or also writing a blog like mine. Our country let us develop a critic culture, and made us capable to think independently. This means that the blame should be even more on us. We have all that we need to change our country, but we do not rise a finger. We watch it drowning, even a blind would notice that. Our parents fought in the 70s, to modernize Italy (did they really do that? or just on the surface?), why are we still? Why  don't we get together and let our voice loud? Why we don't let anyone say anymore: life is better in UK? We have a country in our hands, we can intervene because we live in a democratic country. It is not that difficult.

1 - I think the Chinese situation isnt as bad as you said. There are lots of ppl of your age writing blogs about politics online. However, it depends on how seriously you are against the government. (Comment this)

2 - GBB,
Thanks a lot for your comment. I am glad that Chinese people are reading my blog. I really think that China has a huge potential as a country and I am really fascinated by your culture and history. However, Chinese officials do not permit you to access information that everywhere else is possible to access. If you say what you think about the government they could send you to prison without any reason. I think you answered youself when you said "you can say what you want but it depends how seriously you are against the government". This means that you have freedom as long as you don't criticize the government. This equals to no freedom. You are not allowed to elect your politicians and to discuss issues that can change your lives. Workers have no rights and if they rebel they are simply killed. Inequality in China has surpassed that of the US. Is that communism? Is where Chinese people want to go? (Comment this)

3 - I agreed with you at some points. But I have to say there is dark side in every country and every country has its own unique background. Moreover, such sentense, as " Workers have no rights and if they rebel they are simply killed" is REALLY lack of evidence. btw, Marco, I think it's really full of fun to argue, I mean, it's not only different views of politics, it is also different concepts and different philosophies! (Comment this)

4 - GBB,
thanks a lot for your comments. The first evidence of what I said is Tienammen Square massacre, even if in China is still a taboo to talk about that. Recently there are continuous riots by poor peasants, and they are "calmed" by the police simply shooting at them. Another example is the massacre of the Fulan Gong "sect". If you need a formal proof I can send you the links and you can have a look, so that you can see the type of tortures used on people who do not think like the regime. (Comment this)
